Brief

Develop high-performance blades for Electric Ducted Fan (EDF).

Outcome

Optimised fan blade exploring aerodynamic efficiency and a more refined acoustic profile. 

This project aims to develop a high-performance Electric Ducted Fan (EDF) using the forward design method to improve efficiency and reduce noise. The fan will be suitable for application in Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft, meeting the high thrust and low noise demands of the Urban Air Mobility (UAM) industry.
