eVTOL Inlet Simulation
In this emerging industry, many are exploring principles aimed at making new methods of flight more accessible. Among these pioneers are Bellwether Industries, who are utilising our Adaptive Electric Propulsion System (AEPS) for concealed propulsion. One challenge is how to create a point of entry for air into this system for both vertical take-off and cruise flight conditions.
Through our experience in design and aerodynamics, we were able to accurately evaluate the airflow over the vehicle in multiple directions and create a structure that ensures the optimal volume of air is efficiently utilised by the AEPS. Debuted at the 2023 Dubai Airshow, this inlet was created specifically for Bellwether’s Oryx prototype and showcases what a multi-directional AEPS Inlet might look like in the near future.
